Smith sister in Kommetjie

I was blessed with the presence of the beautiful and talented Smith sisters the past weekend down in Kommetjie for some fun and games.
I was so looking forward to shooting with the trio again as it is always so much fun (see Smith Sisters)

Sadly, by the time they pulled in to Longbeach, the waves and the beach were already packed. Coming from JBay, the girls don’t do crowds (like who does?) so we ventured south in search of an uncrowed, surfable wave…

Emma Smith

While watching another closeout crash into the Scrabrough beach break, it was (reluctantly) decided to head back to Longbeach and deal with the crowds.

Gina Smith

Our little (failed) wave-hunting mission did kill some valuable time and we now had to deal with smaller inconsistent waves brought upon by the low tide. To further complicate and frustrate things I had harsh rubbish light to shoot in. This pretty much ended any chance of decent surf shots right there.

Zoe Smith 

I really enjoyed shooting some “lifestyles” with the sisters on the beach, always such positive and happy energy within the trio. Getting clean images was a challenge due to the public holiday beach crowd but I got a few that the girls are stoked with.
